Received my Masters in Social Work from Columbia. Worked first as a programmer/grant writer/supervisor of after school programs, and then as a Hospital Pediatric Social Worker. One-on-one work with kids made me realize I had a calling/gift/joy working with children and adolescents. Have been a therapist for over twenty years. Humor is a big component of my style: it's a major tool in engaging, keeping and helping children in therapy. Besides working with kids and parents I provide training for pre-school staff and speak at PTA's. Previously, I was in publishing for about 20 years. As creative as that work was, I find being a therapist more so. The former filled my wallet, the latter fills my soul.
