Personal Statement:
I have been in private practice for over 20 years on the Upper West Side and since 2005 in Teaneck, New Jersey as well.
I work with a variety of people from different cultural, ethnic and
socioeconomic backgrounds on many issues ranging from depression, anxiety and loss in their main relationships, professional life and families to core issues of identity, sexuality, trust and self-esteem. In order to develop a good therapeutic relationship, I try to establish an atmosphere of trust and openness and explore our reactions to the personal stories and histories that gradually develop over the course of therapy.
Therapy is often hard, painful work but it can also be enjoyable, rewarding and full of surprises.
